This class is designed for potters with experience on the wheel or handbuilding who are looking to explore more advanced surface treatments. We'll build on core skills and challenge you to push your creative boundaries through guided projects and personal exploration. What to Bring: Leatherhard pots of any form Tools for mark making or carving Paint brushes of multiple sizes Medium sized plastic container with lid 1 or more mason stains Underglazes of any variety Images or templates for inspiration Apron (optional) and towels Notebook All glazes and kiln firings are included in the class fee. Clay is not included and must be purchased from the studio. Any necessary tools are available at the studio for your use; however, if you have your own, feel free to bring them! While there may be time in class to make more pots, the focus of class will be surface decoration, so the majority of class time will be taken up exploring surface decorating.
