Description
This is intended for those who have some experience with clay. You may wheel throw or handbuild your raku pieces. There will be 2 sessions held at ClayWorks studio. Session 1, March 24th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, we will discuss the basics of Raku firings, and glaze your previously bisque-fired pots. Session 2, March 31st, from either 1:00 - 4:00 pm OR 6:00 - 9:00 pm. We will be firing the glazed pots outside in the parking lot at the studio. The Guild will have some bins, combustibles and a few extra gloves for people to borrow. Please provide a time preference (afternoon or evening) in the notes when checking out. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. Instructor: Crystal Warner Hawley Please bring: Session 1 Brushes for applying glaze and up to 6 bisque fired pots – there is NO guarantee all of your pieces will be fired, depending on the sizes and total number of pots… we will do our best.
