Handbuilding

Handbuilding is a way of making pottery without using a wheel. Instead, you shape the clay by hand using simple techniques like pinching, rolling slabs, or building with coils. It’s hands-on and relaxed, because you can take your time and really feel how the clay moves and responds as you create your piece.

Our handbuilding classes are open to all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced makers! Explore a variety of hand-building techniques, experiment with glazing, and discover your creative potential.
