Moving to Brantford in 2016 and recently retired, I attended the Brantford Potters’ Guild spring pottery sale. I noticed the Guild was offering pottery classes and, having taken pottery many years previously, decided to sign up for a class. That started me on a whole new “career.” Today I work out of my home, making wheel-thrown pieces such as bowls, plates, servers and mugs. I particularly enjoy experimenting with glazes, trying different combinations to get dazzling effects.
